A group of Overseers will be selected for the purpose of providing support and outside accountability to both the Senior Pastor and the Board of Elders and for Dispute Resolution. They will provide spiritual guidance when necessary and will function as Overseers as described in Scripture to the body of New life Church. There will typically be three to five Overseers, they will be pastors of other churches, and will be nominated by the Senior Pastor and confirmed by a two thirds (2/3) vote of the Board of Elders. Should the Senior Pastor be disqualified for ministry, the Board of Elder will determine the role of the Overseers in the restoration process of the Senior Pastor. The Overseer must confirm the Board of Elders choice for a new Senior Pastor by a two thirds (2/3) vote. The Overseers will have no other legal or fiscal authority over the Corporation. Overseers can be removed from office upon either a two thirds (2/3) vote of all the Overseers or upon a two thirds (2/3) vote of all the elders.
